LEARN MOREThe Sustainable Artisanal and Small-scale Mining
(Sust-ASM) is a resource hub for gemstone mining
in Kenya. Our goal is to keep the sustainable
gemstone mining conversation going by providing
access to local knowledge, skills and thought
leadership which may be of interest to all mining
stakeholders and the general public.
The resource hub is a legacy initiative of the
sustainable mining project funded by the Global
Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) to support the
development of a more responsible and inclusive
gemstone mining in Kenya.
There is no sustainable development in the mining sector without including sixty percent of gemstone miners in Kenya- artisanal and small-scale miners (ASM)
